AEM part # 21-764C is a Cold Air Intake for the 2014-15 Volkswagen Jetta / Passat 1.8L(t) & 2014-2015 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2.0L(t). On a stock 2015 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 2.0T, chassis dyno results showed an increase of 12 horsepower and 14 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. The air filter is located in the original air box location and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The air intake tube is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine’s factory emissions control devices including the PCV hose. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed.
The AEM 21-764C Cold Air Intake System is designed to funnel cold air to the turbo's compressor, by simply allowing the engine to breathe more effectively not like the stock air intake system that channels air to the turbo through a series of narrow tubes with tight bends, and uneven surfaces. The AEM 21-764C Performance Intake System reduces these airflow restrictions with a wider AEM aluminum intake tube that has mandrel-bent wide-angle bends, to straighten the airflow path and significantly reduce air turbulence.
