 This Stainless Steel Exhaust Manifold, 2012 SEMA award winning product, is available thru Marken Performance, Kitchener.   Increasing the internal size of manifolds or feed pipes can result in temperature drop resulting in lower turbocharger drive pressure. BD designed manifolds uses more consistent port sizing and heavier construction to improve flow and reduce temperature drop. For even more improved efficiencies, turbocharger design improvements can be done.  Durable Stainless Steel manifolds withstand temperatures in excess of 2000oF without cracking.  Stainless Steel reflective heat properties holds the heat within and cools down quicker once the engine is stopped. Once heated, these manifolds turn a Gold color.

UPGRADED  NON  STAINLESS  DODGE  MANIFOLD

Great as a stock replacement, our exhaust manifolds were designed with expansion joints and heavy webbing to prevent cracking. The exhaust runner design maintains exhaust velocity to drive the turbine wheel. Runner size does not go beyond the size of the exhaust ports on the head because when the runners are larger, the velocity to drive the turbo is lost due to the expansion and temperature in the exhaust manifold reduces the turbine drive pressure needed for turbocharger response.

 The factory driver’s side exhaust manifold on the 2001-2010 Chevy 6.6L Duramax engine is pinched down to allow for steering shaft clearance, which is actually not required. As a result, this serious restriction affects the driver’s side front two cylinders, flowing only 80% of what the passenger side flows causing an imbalance between the two banks and additional heat build-up.

 BD’s Full Bore exhaust manifold part # 1041460 restores exhaust flow balance, improves power and reduces EGT’s inside the combustion chamber. All of which is accomplished by maintaining internal bore size thus maintaining turbo drive pressure. Get better performance and save hundreds of dollars by using BD product versus other aftermarket manifold kits.

   BD Diesel’s new Ford 6.0L Exhaust Manifolds kit part # 1041480  fits the 2003-2007 6.0L Ford PowerStroke.  Exhaust manifolds made from thick walled high temperature ductile iron, coated to resist corrosion and pre drilled for pyrometer probes. Reserve yours from Marken Performance.
   The new heavy walled manifold holds in exhaust gas temperatures to enhance turbine pumping efficiency. The runners have been ported to improve velocity and evacuate the cylinders. Manifolds are coated to resist corrosion and are pre-drilled for pyrometer probes.
   These units replace the old rusted and leaking stock exhaust manifolds that normally require extensive cleaning and machine work to be recovered from warping and distortion.   The manifold set comes with both passenger & driver’s side units and feed pipe mounting hardware.
   With the stock manifolds considered a maintenance item due to corrosion and leaking, this set is an excellent preventative replacement item whenever doing other engine work.
   Manifold gaskets, bolts and spacers not included in kit but can be obtained from OEM if required – gaskets are recommended.  
  
  

  
  
   BD Diesel UpPipe and Exhaust Manifold kit part # 1041481 for the 2008-10 6.4L Ford Power Stroke replace the stock exhaust manifolds and turbocharger feed piping which are prone to burning out at the thin walled elbows due to high exhaust temperatures.   The 304 Stainless Steel feed pipes are mandrel bent and designed to improve exhaust velocity and turbo response time.   BD Diesel’s heavy walled elbow connections prevent burning out, plus, hold in exhaust gas temperatures enhancing turbine pumping efficiency while the runners have been optimized to improve velocity and evacuate the cylinders.  Exhaust manifolds are coated to resist corrosion and are pre-drilled for pyrometer probes. 
   Kit # 1041481 comes with exhaust manifold gaskets, turbocharger pipe gaskets and A/C offset adapter to eliminate damaging the A/C hose.
   Other manufactures’ kits utilize stock Ford 6.0L exhaust manifolds which are prone to rusting and leaking, and, require extensive cleaning and machine work to be recovered from warping and distortion.

  One of the biggest trends that we are seeing is major interest in the diverter valve. The diverter valve works by directing all of the exhaust in the exhaust manifolds into one side of the turbine housing (needs to be a dual volute for this to be of use).  By diverting all of the flow into one side of the housing, the housing reacts essentially like a housing half its size. This means that initial spool up is greatly improved resulting in not only better throttle response, but true drivability of a large single turbo.  Once optimum boost pressure has been reached, the valve will open up to direct flow through both volutes.  With the Turbine Diverter Valve, your turbo will spool up quicker while reducing your 1/4 mile times, exhaust temperatures and smoke levels.  Valve, flap and shaft assemblies are precision investment stainless steel casted, and, available in T4-T3 and T4-T4 mounting flange configurations - T4-T6 adapters also available.  Call Marken performance for proper fitment.
