Spectre has designed a new cold air intake for the Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0L 1987-2001. Part # 9945 fits 1987-1990 models while part # 9948 fits 1991-2001, thru Marken Performance.
Using a series of polished aluminum air intake tubes, and a Spectre Performance inline air filter housing, fresh air is drawn into the Jeep Cherokee XJ intake from below the windshield cowling. The Spectre Performance Jeep Cherokee XJ cold air intake will supply the 4.0L engine with cooler, denser, and potentially cleaner air for increased performance and better acceleration.
Dust filtration and engine protection comes from a Spectre High Performance Racing (HPR) inline cone air filter, number HPR9833, inside of the inline aluminum air filter housing.
The Spectre Performance Jeep Cherokee XJ cold air intake will supply the 4.0L engine with fresh air and function similar to a snorkel in all but the most extreme off-road situations.
