The FAST’s Valve Timing Control Module # 3013173 allows an XFI system (like FAST XFI Sportsman and an XIM ignition module with a plug-and-play interface) to control the position of all 4 camshafts on the Ford Coyote, with independent adjustment of the intake and exhaust cam position versus rpm and load. All can be purchased via dealer Marken Performance.
The FAST Valve Timing Control Module # 3013173 allows the ECU to control the position of Coyote engines’ 4 phaseable camshafts. The intake and exhaust cam position is separately tunable through C-Com software with tables for position vs. RPM and load. This provides a simple alternative to having to open up the engine to install mechanical locking devices on all 4 cams when switching to FAST aftermarket fuel injection. Since this VTC module is an electronic solution, the cams don’t have to be fixed in a single position. The cams can still be moved to maintain the broad powerband allowed by the phaseable cam system. The VTC Module allows for full, dynamic control of valve overlap, allowing the tuner to get their desired sound at idle, while still maintaining great off-idle torque and drivability. This VTC Module won the runner-up position in the Best New Performance – Street Product category at the 2016 SEMA Show.
By installing the FAST VCT controller, tuners can now swing the cams up to 45 degrees to squeeze out power throughout the rpm range.
