TCI® has a new bolt together Torque Converter for GM 6L80E 6 speed Automatic Transmission features a triple-disc lock-up configuration and a bolt-together design that allows for easy internal access to the entire lock-up assembly, turbine, stator and bearings for servicing or tuning for future vehicle modifications. Built with patent-pending technology, these bolt-together converters feature a triple-disc lock-up assembly which can easily be disassembled for servicing by the end user. The converters also include high-speed, load-rated Torrington bearings. A deep-groove ball bearing on the turbine spline reduces friction and increases the high-speed stability of converter components, and also provides input shaft support. The precision-ground billet impeller hub and billet front are CNC-machined to reduce ballooning, while the billet turbine hub, billet lockup piston and billet clutch hub are pre-hardened to improve strength. All of these features work together to provide harder launches without converter lock-up shudder or ECU tuning.
As with all TCI® torque converters, these feature proprietary HDT (Heat Dissipating Technology™) Coating™, which enables cooler operating temperatures and more efficient drivetrain operation. Each TCI® converter is built to exact specifications and is Triple Tested during assembly. Triple Testing includes run-out testing, leak testing and computer balancing. TCI® Bolt-Together Torque Converters for GM 6L80E Transmissions are fully furnace-brazed, computer balanced and hand-assembled to precise tolerances.
The torque converters come in 3 different stall speeds: Part # 242972 (2600-2700 RPM Stall); # 242974 (2800-2900 RPM Stall); # 242976 (3100-3200 RPM Stall), with speeds up to 4100 RPM available upon request.

TCI® Ford C6 Valve Body Part # 421001 is designed to provide engine braking in all forward gears in a manual, reverse shift pattern, thereby creating a stronger and more durable Ford C6 transmission. The new TCI® Ford C6 Valve Body provides engine braking in all forward gears, thereby reducing the amount of stress on the failure-prone sprag. The result is a more durable transmission. Redesigned valve body passages provide a reverse shift pattern, allowing quick gear changes between the first and reverse gears as compared to a forward pattern. The redesigned passages also provide full manual shifting so you can select the gear you want, when you want it. The TCI® Ford C6 Valve Body creates improved shift characteristics by increasing line pressure and recalibrating the separator plate. This allows fluid to reach the clutch quicker.
Each valve body is tested on a valve body tester for proper operating functions and pressure, so you can be sure the part lives up to expectations.
